Since November 2015 issues of Executive Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (EDCPSCPS), and Performance Related Pay (PRP) concerning those executives who retired after 01.01.2007 are being taken up, apart from pension and medical issues.
The issue of EDCPS after a prolonged follow up was finally resolved and all the eligible retired executives are receiving their annuities since June 2021. SROWA had met several people’s representatives and submitted representations on pension issues. Representations were submitted to the Hon’ble minister of coal in Delhi in February 2018 and to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana in Srirampur in the same month. FEDERATION OF COAL INDUSTRY RETIRED EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION” (Regd no.MAH-91/14(Nagpur), after exhausting all the options of meeting and representing the coal minister and the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India apart from concerned government authorities finally knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court in January 2015.
Supreme Court, in turn, transferred the case to Delhi High Court towards the end of February 2015 and since then the W.P (C ) 3118/2015 is pending in Delhi High Court. SROWA got affiliated with the Federation in August 2016 and ever since contributing towards legal expenses as per the requirement from time to time.
Since November 2016 SROWA is striving relentlessly to resolve medical and other issues with the management of SCCL meeting C&MD, Directors, and other senior officials regularly. The membership drive was taken up in a big way by sending appeals along with Registration forms by post to all Retired Colleagues. After continuous and vivacious follow-up by SROWA So far 1107 members have taken up membership as of 01.01.2022 out of which 1046 are Life members.
