Web site of Singareni Retired Officers Welfare Association (www.srowa.org) launched in January 26th 2016.
General body Meeting of SROWA:
A general body meeting of the Association was convened at 10.00 am on 6th September 2015, in the premises of “Singareni Officer Co-operative house Building Society”, Singareni Colony, Hyderabad. New committee with Sri P VASUDEVA RAO (Director retd.) as President was elected by the General Body.
Since then the executive committee met four times on 12th Sep, 18th Sep, 5th Oct, and 11th Dec. and discussed on various issues of the Retired Officers.
SROWA Representatives met CMD of SCCL:
The representatives of the Association had met the Director (PA&W) and Chairman and MD, of SCCL in Nov 2015 and had formal discussions with them. Managing Committee submitted Representations to them and they assured necessary cooperation from SCCL management.
Membership Drive of SROWA:
Rigorous membership drive was taken up by sending appeals and registration forms. Around 400 members have already enrolled as members.
Grievance raised by SROWA General Secretary:
Grievance raised by Sri J V Dattathreyulu, General Secretary, SROWA regarding depleting CMPF funds sent to Prime Minister of India, CMPF OFFICE replied as below.
“CMPFO, Hqrs. Office, Dhanbad, vide Office Note, dated 24/04/2015, has informed that as per Director (P), CIL, letter dated 16/19.03.2015, it was inter alia resolved in the Standardization Committee of JBCCI meeting that CMPS, 1998 is a Contributory Pension Scheme, but it was notified by the Govt. in the Gazette and hence it is a liability to compensate or contribute any amount by the Govt.”

Grievance raised by SROWA President:
Grievance raised by Sri P. Vsasudeva rao, President, SROWA sent to Prime minister of India on 30th Nov 2015, regarding low pension amounts to retired Singareni officers and depleting CMPF funds, the letter was forwarded by PMO to Secretary, Ministry of Coal, for appropriate action.

Singareni Retired Officers’ Welfare Association (SROWA) was first formed in the year 2007. It was registered under “Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001” in the office of Registrar of Societies, Hyderabad on 2nd Feb 2007.
