02.03.2018 Representation submitted to Hon. Chief Minister, Telangana
On behalf of SROWA and Coal Mines pensioners association team of five members met Sri. K Chandrasekhara Rao, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Telangana State, at Srirampur on 27.02.2018 and submitted a representation on pension issue under coal mines pension scheme 1998 in general and highlighting the plight of 60000+ pensioners of Singareni collieries company limited.
He was requested to provide an ad-hoc relief of Rs. 8000 per month to those pensioners getting less than Rs. 8000 per month.
He was surprised to learn that there are pensioners getting a pension of Rs.350/- per month, unrevised since inception of the scheme 20 years ago.
He was very sympathetic and assured that he would look into the issue and provide some relief until the issue is resolved at central government level.
He also advised the CMD, SCCL to start post retirement medical benefits scheme for the retired wage board employees of SCCL.
We are thankful to the Hon'ble CM for his overwhelming response.
